Still RedBubble Life
Proving once again that RedBubble Monday is nothing if not a flexible concept! Here is Adriana Glackin's Still Life, a finalist in one of our recent RedBubble challenges. I love the rich colours and tones she's achieved with this.

Another RedBubbler, Peter Zentjens provides a tutorial on just this sort of painting with light effect.

Intervals
The beauty of RedBubble Monday is that apparently, it can happen any day of the week! At least that's my story!
This week's inspiration is Diagonal by Rose Atkinson on RedBubble although I do have a few more I can't take my eyes off. ;-)
I am learning intervals at the moment in piano (yes, it is that basic....) and maybe thats why this appeals to me so much?

Hope
It never rains but it pours. No blogging for ages and then they come, thick and fast, all within the space of a day or so!
One very inspiring photo I found on RedBubble is Mark German's Hope.

What I especially like about this photo is that while a photo of a dove as a symbol of hope may, at first, strike you as cliched, Mark has somehow found a way to rise above any of the traps and truly inject it with a dynamic and inspirational element. You can see a larger image here.

12 tang shan mountain avenue
Turns out that our new house number is actually at Tang Shan Mountain Avenue. And not Ninja Chook Street after all! Who'd have thought? (Thanks to Sandra and Craig for working that out for us)
Meanwhile Josie M on RedBubble has inspired me to see if I can do something a bit more creative with a photo of the house plaque than my previous efforts.

If she can manage something this good with a street sign surely I can come up with something for no 12 Tang Shan Mountain Avenue?

Sisters two by Adrian Rachele
Yet another RedBubble photographer I'm really enjoying at the moment is Adrian Rachele. Adrian's Sisters Two quite rightly won a recent challenge run on RedBubble. Its a lovely haunting portrait.

Annoying T-Shirts
There's a viscious circularity to the NSW government's legislation of police powers in response to the offence of "being annoying". I mean, isn't that annoying in itself, that they've made being annoying an offence? Should we be calling on the Federal Police to strip search the Legislative Chamber?
(Not a job I'd be looking forward to personally but someone's gotta do it!)
There are some great protest-T designs up at the moment on RedBubble in response to this. Which one will you be wearing?

Ahoy me hearties!
Jacob and I are still on our pirate thing.
So how could I go past this by Jo O'Brien on RedBubble.

This is a long way of saying that I will soon be introducing RedBubble Mondays, where I blog each Monday on a great RedBubble work. I keep finding so many great images and writing there it's no longer possible to keep them to myself! Meanwhile play your cards right and this may well be your next birthday card!
