The Gift of Art
I've been invited to join A Photographer's Craft on RedBubble, an international group of advanced and master photographers who critique each other's work. Membership is by invite only so I'm feeling very flattered and looking forward to tapping into what looks like a very creative can-do community!
APC have also created the global initiative The Gift of Art to promote art’s ability to communicate the human condition, contribute to research, aid, and prevention, celebrate survivors, and honor those we have lost. All members of the group donate works for which the proceeds of any sales are donated to charities whom they feel assist in this.
The current fundraising effort is for the (US based but international in focus)National Cancer Institute, a division of the National Institute of Health, which has provided more than 70 years of excellence in cancer research around the world. While the organisation is a US organisation donations and any US government monies it receives are dispersed on an international basis.
So if on this cold and wintry day you're looking for a warm and fuzzy feeling then feel free to browse through the GoA Portfolio on RedBubble and see if there is anything that takes your fancy!
